Cook Ground Beef or Chicken
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or ground chicken. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes.

Add Taco Seasoning
Once the meat is cooked, drain any excess fat if using ground beef. Sprinkle the taco seasoning mixture over the meat, along with 1/2 cup of water. Stir well to combine and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Warm Tortillas
In a separate skillet or microwave, warm the soft corn tortillas for 30 seconds to 1 minute until pliable.

Assemble Tacos
Place a generous amount of the cooked meat in the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro as desired.

Serve Tacos
Serve the tacos immediately while warm. You can provide additional toppings on the side for customization.
