Cook the Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

Season the Beef
Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.

Add Cheese
Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Set aside.

Rinse the Rice
Rinse the rice under cold water in a fine-mesh strainer until the water runs clear.

Cook the Rice
In a medium saucepan, combine rinsed rice, water, and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat.

Simmer and Fluff
Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes until water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.

Prepare Taco Shells
Warm the soft taco shells in the microwave or on a skillet until pliable.

Fill Tacos
Spoon the beef and cheese mixture into each taco shell.

Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and salsa as desired.

Serve
Serve the tacos with a side of fluffy rice. Enjoy your meal!
