    Peel the green plantains carefully and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.

    In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

    Fry the plantain slices in batches for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
