Method

Prepare the Fillings

1

Cook the Chicken

Season the chicken breast with taco seasoning and grill or sauté in a pan with 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat until cooked through (about 6-7 minutes per side). Let it rest and then slice into strips.

2

Cook the Steak

Season the steak with taco seasoning and grill or sauté in a pan with 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat until desired doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare). Let it rest and then slice into strips.

3

Sauté Vegetables

In the same pan, add the bell peppers, onion, and zucchini. Sauté in remaining olive oil for about 5-7 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.

Assemble the Tacos

4

Warm the Tortillas

Heat the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and pliable.

5

Build the Tacos

On each tortilla, add a portion of either chicken or steak or vegetables. Top with salsa gringa, diced avocado, and shredded cheese.
