Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Cod

Soak the desalted cod fillets in cold water for at least 24 hours, changing the water several times. This will help to remove excess salt.

2

Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, and sauté until they are soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

3

Add Garlic and Seasoning

Stir in the minced garlic and paprika, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

4

Cook the Cod

Add the soaked cod fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning gently, until the cod is cooked through and flakes easily.

5

Finish with Parsley

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

6

Serve

Serve warm with batata frita (French fries) on the side for a comforting meal.
