Fries
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 2
Soak the Fries
Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Potatoes
Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with paper towels. Carefully add a batch of fries to the hot oil and fry for about 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- 5
Season the Fries
In a large mixing bowl, combine the fried potatoes with salt, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.
- 6
Add Cheese and Parsley
Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the fries and toss again to mix thoroughly.
- 7
Serve
Serve the Dracula fries hot as a side dish or snack.
