Method

Prepare the Beef Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Beef

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into an 8 oz patty, making a slight indent in the center with your thumb to help cook evenly.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Assemble the Burger

  1. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty to melt.

  2. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese is melting, place the brioche buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until they are lightly toasted.

  3. 6

    Build the Burger

Spread a generous amount of guacamole on the bottom half of the toasted brioche bun. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top, followed by a scoop of pico de gallo and a handful of lettuce. Finish with the top half of the bun.
