Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted unsalted butter. Mix until the crumbs are moistened.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Ensure it's packed tightly and evenly.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and let cool.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream, mixing until combined and smooth.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Vanilla and Eggs

Add the vanilla extract and one egg at a time, mixing well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as necessary.

  4. 8

    Add Flour

Sift in the all-purpose flour and mix just until combined.

  5. 9

    Pour into Crust

Carefully pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan.

  6. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

  7. 11

    Cool the Cheesecake

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour to cool gradually.

  8. 12

    Chill

Remove from the oven, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
