Meat Filling (optional)
Method
Prepare the Noodles

Cook the Lasagna Noodles
In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and the lasagna noodles. Cook according to package directions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce
- 2
Prepare the Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare the Cheese Filling
- 3
Mix the Cheese Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, shredded mozzarella cheese, and chopped parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Cook the Meat Filling (Optional)
- 4
Assemble the Lasagna
- 5
Layer the Ingredients
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large baking dish, spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom. Place 4 noodles over the sauce, then spread half of the cheese filling on top. Add half of the meat filling (if using) and cover with another layer of Alfredo sauce. Repeat the layers: noodles, cheese filling, meat filling, and sauce. Finish with a layer of noodles topped with the remaining Alfredo sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
Bake the Lasagna
- 6
Bake to Perfection
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
