Pasta Preparation

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the boiling water.

Cook Pasta
Add 12 oz of pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Vegetable Preparation

Chop Vegetables
While the pasta is cooking, chop zucchini, bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

Halve Tomatoes
Cut cherry tomatoes in half and set aside.
Sauce Preparation

Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet, heat 2 tbs of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic (2 cloves) and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Stir in the canned diced tomatoes (14 oz), basil (1 tbs), oregano (1 tsp), salt (0.5 tsp), and black pepper (0.25 tsp). Simmer for 5 minutes.
Combine and Serve

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the vegetable sauce.

Garnish
Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese (0.5 cup) and fresh basil (0.25 cup).
