Cake Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Combine Mixtures
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Slowly stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.

Add OREO® Cookies
Gently fold in the crushed OREO® Cookies into the batter.

Bake the Cakes
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool the Cakes
Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Assemble the Cake
Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate. Top with hot fudge sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

Place the second cake layer on top and repeat the process, adding more hot fudge sauce and ice cream.

Finish with Whipped Cream
Top the entire cake with whipped cream and any additional OREO® cookie crumbs for garnish.
