Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

  2. 2

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Slowly stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth.

  5. 5

    Add OREO® Cookies

Gently fold in the crushed OREO® Cookies into the batter.

  6. 6

    Bake the Cakes

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  7. 7

    Cool the Cakes

Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving

  1. 8

    Assemble the Cake

Once the cakes are completely cool, place one layer on a serving plate. Top with hot fudge sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

  2. 9

    Add the Second Layer

Place the second cake layer on top and repeat the process, adding more hot fudge sauce and ice cream.

  3. 10

    Finish with Whipped Cream

Top the entire cake with whipped cream and any additional OREO® cookie crumbs for garnish.

  4. 11

    Serve Warm

Serve immediately while the cake is warm for the best experience.
