Method
Marinade Preparation
- 1
Combine Marinade Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and dried oregano until well combined.
- 2
Marinate Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Glaze Preparation
- 3
Prepare Balsamic Glaze
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup of balsamic vinegar and 2 tablespoons of honey. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to low. Let the mixture simmer until it thickens, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Grilling
- 4
Preheat Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 5
Grill Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 6
Apply Glaze
During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the balsamic glaze over the chicken to add flavor and create a nice glaze.
- 7
Rest Chicken
Once grilled, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
