Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Pat the chicken breast tenders dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 2
Set Up Breading Stations
In three separate shallow dishes, place the all-purpose flour, beaten eggs mixed with milk, and breadcrumbs. Arrange them in this order: flour, egg, breadcrumbs.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken tender first in the flour, shaking off excess, then in the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs onto the chicken to ensure they stick.
Frying the Chicken Tenders
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Fry the chicken tenders in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- 6
Drain the Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders and let them drain on a plate lined with paper towels.
Making the Buffalo Sauce
- 7
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- 8
Combine Ingredients
Once melted, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Preparing the Bleu Cheese Dressing
- 9
Mix the Dressing
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, crumbled bleu cheese, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well combined and creamy.
