Method

Preparing the Eggs

  1. 1

    Cook the Eggs

In a non-stick skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and season with salt and black pepper. Cook to your desired doneness; sunny-side up, over-easy, or scrambled.

Preparing Grits or Home Fries

  1. 2

    Cooking Grits

In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Slowly stir in 0.5 cups of grits, reduce heat to low, and cover. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Stir in 1 tablespoon of butter and season with salt.

  2. 3

    Cooking Home Fries

Wash and peel the potatoes, then dice them into small cubes. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes, chopped onion, and chopped bell pepper. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are golden brown and tender.

Cooking the Meats

  1. 4

Frying the Bacon and Chicken Sausage

In a large skillet, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels. In the same skillet, add the chicken sausage links and cook until browned and heated through, about 5-7 minutes.
