Waffle Ingredients
Method
Waffle Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Waffle Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined; do not overmix.
- 2
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 3
Cook the Waffles
Pour the appropriate amount of batter (usually about 1/2 to 3/4 cup, depending on your waffle iron) onto the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, about 5 minutes. Repeat with the remaining batter.
- 4
Prepare the Bacon
While the waffles are cooking, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
- 5
Serve
Serve the waffles warm, topped with crispy bacon and drizzled with maple syrup.
