Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a large bowl, marinate the chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours, in the refrigerator.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In another bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Shake off excess flour.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the chicken tenders in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
