Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and slice the tomato, onion, and pickles.

2

Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.

3

Form the Yak Patties

In a mixing bowl, take the ground Alaskan yak meat and form it into two equal patties. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4

Cook the Yak Burgers

In the same skillet, cook the yak patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

5

Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of smoked Gouda cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

6

Toast the Buns

While the burgers are finishing, lightly toast the pretzel buns in a separate skillet or under a broiler.

7

Assemble the Burgers

Spread mayo on the bottom half of the pretzel bun. Add the lettuce, cooked yak burger with melted cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, tomato, onion, mustard, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

8

Prepare the Tater Tots

Heat tater tots according to package instructions until crispy.

9

Serve

Serve the yak burger with a side of crispy tater tots.
