Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

Slice the onions thinly. In a skillet over medium heat, add a tablespoon of oil and the sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft and golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate pan, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Once cool, chop into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Cook the Reindeer Sausage

Grill or pan-fry the reindeer sausage links according to package instructions until heated through and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Reindeer Dog

Place each cooked reindeer sausage in a hot dog bun. Top with caramelized onions, chopped bacon, and a tablespoon of stoneground mustard. If desired, add a spoonful of chili on top.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately while hot, accompanied by any additional condiments or toppings as desired.
