Method

Meatloaf Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Wrap with Bacon

Shape the meat mixture into a loaf shape and wrap the bacon slices around the loaf. Place the wrapped meatloaf in a baking dish.

  3. 3

    Add Lager

Pour the Smōk Lager over the meatloaf.

  4. 4

    Bake

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Mushroom Demi-Glace Preparation

  1. 5

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are browned.

  2. 6

    Make the Demi-Glace

Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and cook for an additional minute. Gradually stir in the beef broth and soy sauce, followed by thyme and black pepper. Simmer until thickened.

Garlic Smashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 7

    Boil Potatoes

In a large pot, boil the cubed potatoes until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 8

    Mash with Garlic

Drain and return potatoes to the pot. Add minced garlic, butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until creamy.

Onion Strings Preparation

  1. 9

    Soak Onions

Soak the thinly sliced onions in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 10

    Prepare Breading

In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Dredge the soaked onions in the mixture.

  3. 11

    Fry Onions

In a large pot, heat oil to 375°F (190°C). Fry the breaded onions until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
