Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Thinly slice the ribeye steak against the grain into strips. Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion, green bell pepper, and mushrooms. Sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Increase the heat to high and add the seasoned steak slices. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until the steak is browned and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the steak. Mix well and cook together for an additional 2 minutes.

  5. 5

    Melt the Cheese

Lay the provolone cheese slices on top of the steak and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for another 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Slice the hoagie rolls and fill each with the cheesesteak mixture. Serve hot.
