Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into tenders, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Marinate
In a bowl, mix buttermilk, eggs, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken tenders and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 3
Dredging Station
In a shallow dish, combine flour and cornstarch. Dredge the marinated chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Tenders
Carefully place the dredged chicken tenders in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid crowding. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
