    Prepare the Sandwich

    Lay out 4 slices of rye bread on a clean surface. Spread a layer of Thousand Island dressing on each slice.

    Add Fillings

    Layer corned beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut on top of 4 slices of bread. Top with another slice of rye bread to close the sandwich.

    Spread butter evenly on the outer sides of each sandwich.

    Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 4-5 minutes per side.
