Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Scrub the russet potatoes clean and pat them dry. Poke several holes in each potato with a fork to allow steam to escape during baking.

  2. 2

    Season and Bake

Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Place them directly on the oven rack and bake for about 45-50 minutes, or until tender when pierced with a fork.

  3. 3

    Load the Potatoes

Once baked, remove the potatoes from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Cut a slit down the center of each potato and gently squeeze the ends to open them up.

  4. 4

    Add Toppings

Add a tablespoon of butter to each potato, followed by shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, sliced green onions, and bacon bits.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the loaded baked potatoes warm, with additional toppings on the side if desired.
