Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the bone-in ribeye out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature for about 30-45 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the steak with kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, and garlic powder. Press the seasonings into the meat to ensure they adhere.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (around 450-500°F). If using a cast-iron skillet, preheat it over medium-high heat on the stove.

  4. 4

    Sear the Steak

Brush the steak with olive oil and place it on the hot grill or skillet. Sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until a nice crust forms.

  5. 5

    Add Rosemary

During the last minute of cooking, add fresh rosemary on top of the steak for flavor.

  6. 6

    Check Doneness

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium.

  7. 7

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  8. 8

    Serve

Slice against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.
