Directions
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Peel and slice the potatoes thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
- 2
Make the Cream Mixture
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- 3
Layer the Dish
In a greased baking dish, place a layer of sliced potatoes. Pour a portion of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
- 4
Bake
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- 5
Garnish and Serve
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
