Prepare the Pork
In a small bowl, mix together onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder.

Cook the Pork
Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and water. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

Shred the Pork
Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with BBQ sauce. Let it warm for an additional 30 minutes.

Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the hamburger buns if desired. Place a generous serving of pulled pork on the bottom half of each bun, top with pickles, and cover with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately.
