Pizza Crust and Toppings

Method

Preparation and Baking

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

On a floured surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  3. 3

    Let the Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  4. 4

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) while the dough is rising.

  5. 5

    Shape the Pizza

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into an 8-inch circle. Transfer to a pizza stone or a baking sheet sprinkled with cornmeal.

  6. 6

    Add Sauce and Cheese

Spread pizza sauce evenly over the crust, leaving a small border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning on top.

  7. 7

    Bake the Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

  8. 8

    Serve

Let the pizza cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm.
