For the Boba

Method

Preparing the Boba

  1. 1

    Cook the Tapioca Pearls

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Add 1 cup of tapioca pearls and stir gently to prevent sticking. Cook for about 25 minutes, or until the pearls are translucent and chewy.

  2. 2

    Sweeten the Boba

Once cooked, drain the boba and rinse under cold water. In a bowl, mix the boba with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar to sweeten. Set aside.

Preparing the Matcha Milk

  1. 3

    Mix the Matcha

In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of matcha powder with 2 tablespoons of hot water until smooth and no lumps remain.

  2. 4

    Combine with Milk

In a separate pitcher, combine 2 cups of milk (or non-dairy alternative) and 2 tablespoons of your preferred sweetener. Stir well to dissolve the sweetener.

  3. 5

    Combine Matcha and Milk

Pour the matcha mixture into the milk mixture and stir until fully combined. You can adjust sweetness to taste.

Assembling the Drink

  1. 6

    Combine Boba and Matcha Milk

In a glass, add a generous amount of the sweetened boba at the bottom. Pour the matcha milk mixture over the boba.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately with a wide straw for sipping the boba along with the matcha milk. Enjoy your refreshing Matcha Boba Milk!
