Method

Prepare the Tea Base

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea Bags

Once boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let them steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Prepare the Fruit

  1. 4

    Slice and Dice Fruits

While the tea cools, slice the strawberries and dice the peaches. Juice the lemons and set aside.

  2. 5

    Combine Fruits

In a large pitcher, combine the sliced strawberries, diced peaches, and fresh mint leaves.

Mix and Sweeten

  1. 6

    Add Sweeteners

To the pitcher with the fruits, add 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Stir well to combine.

  2. 7

    Add Tea and Lemon Juice

Pour the cooled tea into the pitcher along with the fresh lemon juice. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed.

Serve

  1. 8

    Chill or Serve Immediately

You can either serve the fruit tea immediately over ice or refrigerate it for a couple of hours to chill. Garnish with additional mint leaves if desired.
