For the Slow Roasted Beef Tenderloin

Method

For the Slow Roasted Beef Tenderloin

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Tenderloin

Preheat the oven to 225°F (107°C). Pat the beef tenderloin dry with paper towels. Rub the tenderloin with olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Beef Tenderloin

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Sear the tenderloin on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  3. 3

    Roast the Beef Tenderloin

Transfer the seared tenderloin to a roasting pan. Place in the preheated oven and roast until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare, about 1.5 to 2 hours.

  4. 4

    Rest and Serve

Remove the tenderloin from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Serve with the remaining melted butter drizzled over the top.
