Seafood Scampi Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine or spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 3

    Add the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.

  4. 4

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes.

  5. 5

    Season and Combine

Stir in the red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the mixture is too dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

  6. 6

    Finish with Parsley

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Serve immediately with additional parsley on top if desired.
