Muddle the Basil
In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh basil leaves and muddle gently to release their flavor.

Add Ingredients
Add the gin, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.

Shake
Fill the shaker with ice and shake well for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain
Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.

Top with Club Soda
Top off the drink with club soda and gently stir to combine.

Garnish
Garnish with a lemon wheel and a sprig of basil if desired.
