Method
Cheese Bomb Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cheese
Cut the Monterey Jack cheese into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Battering Station
In a shallow bowl, add flour. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 3
Batter the Cheese
Take one cheese cube, coat it thoroughly in flour, dip it in the beaten eggs, and then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat with all cheese cubes.
Frying
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Cheese Bombs
Carefully add the battered cheese cubes to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally.
- 6
Drain the Cheese Bombs
Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried cheese bombs from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serving
- 7
Prepare Dipping Sauces
In small bowls, serve marinara sauce and ranch dressing as dipping options alongside the cheese bombs.
- 8
Plate and Serve
Arrange the fried cheese bombs on a platter and serve warm with dipping sauces.
