Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Burger Patty Preparation

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients until just combined. Avoid overworking the meat to keep the patties tender.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

3

Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.

4

Cook the Patties

Once hot, place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top during the last minute of cooking to melt.

5

Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until lightly browned.

6

Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, and any desired condiments such as ketchup and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
