Method

Flank Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinade the Flank Steak

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic (4 cloves), and grated ginger. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Cut the flank steak into 1-inch cubes and place them in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

Cooking the Flank Steak and Vegetables

  1. 3

    Sauté Onions and Peppers

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Add sliced onion and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Add sliced bell peppers and sauté for an additional 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade (reserving the marinade) and add it to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the steak is browned. Pour in the reserved marinade and let simmer for another 5 minutes.

House Salad Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss well.

Grilled Asparagus Preparation

  1. 6

    Grill the Asparagus

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until tender.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop potatoes into chunks. Place in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, minced garlic (2 cloves), milk, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.
