Marinade
Chicken and Assembly
Method
Marinade Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Whisk together until well blended.
- 2
Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Grilling and Assembly
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C).
- 4
Grill the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- 5
Toast the Buns
While the chicken is grilling, place the burger buns on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until toasted lightly.
- 6
Assemble the Sandwich
Once the chicken is cooked and the buns are toasted, place a grilled chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and mayonnaise if desired. Place the top half of the bun on each sandwich.
- 7
Serve
Serve the grilled chicken sandwiches warm with your favorite side.
