Crab Cakes

Fried Green Tomatoes

Cajun Cream Sauce

Method

Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Cake Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and chopped green onions. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Add Binders

Add the bread crumbs, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form the Crab Cakes

Shape the mixture into two patties and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In a skillet, heat cooking oil over medium heat. Fry the crab cakes for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Fried Green Tomatoes

  1. 5

    Prepare the Breading

In one bowl, place the cornmeal, and in another bowl, the all-purpose flour mixed with salt and pepper.

  2. 6

    Dredge the Tomatoes

Dip each slice of green tomato in buttermilk, then coat in the flour mixture, and finally in the cornmeal.

  3. 7

    Fry the Tomatoes

In a deep skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded tomatoes until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Grilled Shrimp

  1. 8

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and Cajun seasoning. Add the shrimp and marinate for about 15 minutes.

  2. 9

    Grill the Shrimp

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until opaque and cooked through.

Cajun Cream Sauce

  1. 10

    Prepare the Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add heavy cream and Cajun seasoning, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.

  2. 11

    Finish the Sauce

Remove from heat and stir in chopped green onions.
