Burger Components

Method

Garlic Aioli Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Aioli

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.

Guacamole Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Guacamole

In a bowl, mash the ripe avocados with a fork. Add lime juice, chopped cilantro, salt, diced tomato, and diced red onion. Mix until combined, but leave it slightly chunky for texture. Set aside.

Burger Assembly

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood bacon until crispy. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 4

Form and Cook the Burger Patties

In a large bowl, mix ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into 4 equal patties. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach desired doneness. Add a slice of Fontina cheese on top of each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  4. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, spread a generous amount of garlic aioli. Add a spring mix, place the cooked burger patty with melted Fontina on top, followed by 2 slices of crispy bacon. Top with a spoonful of guacamole and finish with the top half of the bun.
