Method
Chicken Sandwich Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add chicken breasts and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Dredge the Chicken
In a separate bowl, place the flour. Remove the chicken from the marinade and coat it evenly with flour.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated chicken breasts. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
- 4
Toss with Buffalo Sauce
In a large bowl, combine hot sauce with fried chicken. Toss well to coat.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
On each burger bun, layer lettuce, sliced tomato, and pickles. Top with the Buffalo chicken and cover with the other half of the bun.
Coleslaw Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Coleslaw
In a large bowl, mix together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- 7
Combine Vegetables
Add the shredded cabbage and carrot to the dressing. Mix well until the vegetables are evenly coated.
- 8
Chill
Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
