Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Meats

In a large bowl, combine the ground bison and ground Angus beef. Use your hands to gently mix the meats until just combined.

  2. 2

    Season the Mixture

Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the meat mixture. Mix until evenly distributed, but avoid overworking the meat.

  3. 3

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick.

Cooking the Burger Patty

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

Optional: Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

On the bottom half of each bun, spread 1 tablespoon of Woody's Spicy Sweet BBQ Sauce. Place the cooked patty on top, then sprinkle with crumbled blue cheese, followed by shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and red onion.

  3. 8

    Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
