Method

Ribs Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar. Rub this mixture all over the pork ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Prepare for Cooking

Wrap the seasoned ribs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).

  4. 4

    Cook the Ribs

Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulling away from the bone.

  5. 5

    Add BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the wrapping, and brush the BBQ sauce over the ribs. Increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F) and return the ribs to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized.

Coleslaw Preparation

  1. 6

    Combine Vegetables

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrots.

  2. 7

    Make the Dressing

In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

  3. 8

    Mix Salad and Dressing

Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots mixture. Toss well to coat all the vegetables evenly.

  4. 9

    Chill the Coleslaw

Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
