Method

Brownie Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oven and Pan

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter and Combine Sugars

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Allow the mixture to cool slightly before adding the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  5. 5

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  6. 6

    Add Nuts

Fold in the chopped nuts until evenly distributed.

  7. 7

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  8. 8

    Cool and Serve

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and drizzle with Kahlua sauce.
