Wings

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Wings

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and hot sauce. Spread the wings out on a baking sheet in a single layer.

  2. 2

    Bake the Wings

Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are crispy and cooked through.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Fries

While the wings are baking, cut the potatoes into fry shapes. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, sprinkling with salt immediately.

  4. 4

    Make the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage and grated carrots. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, and toss to combine.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once the wings are done, serve them hot alongside the fries and slaw.
