Preparation
- 1
Make the Pretzel Dough
In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Add the flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

Shape the Pretzels
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope and shape it into a pretzel.
- 5
In a large pot, bring 10 cups of water to a boil and add the baking soda. Boil each pretzel for about 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 6
- 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- 8
Make the Queso Dip
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the cream cheese and milk. Stir until smooth.
- 9
Add the shredded cheddar cheese, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and salt. Stir until the cheese is melted and the dip is smooth.
- 10
Serve the warm pretzels with queso dip on the side.
