Brewing Process

  1. 1

    Mashing the Grains

In a large pot, combine the malted barley, corn, and 12 cups of water. Heat the mixture to about 150°F (65°C) and maintain this temperature for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. 2

    Boiling

After mashing, bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, add the hops and let it boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Cooling the Wort

After boiling, cool the wort quickly to about 70°F (21°C) using a wort chiller or an ice bath.

  4. 4

    Fermentation

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Sprinkle the yeast on top and seal with an airlock. Allow it to ferment for 1-2 weeks at room temperature.

  5. 5

    Bottling

Once fermentation is complete, siphon the beer into sanitized bottles, leaving some space at the top. Cap the bottles and let them condition for another 1-2 weeks.

  6. 6

    Enjoy

After conditioning, chill the bottles in the refrigerator and enjoy your homemade Miller Lite!
