Mac & Cheese Wedge Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until thickened. Add cream cheese and cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

  3. 3

    Combine Pasta and Cheese Sauce

In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce. Mix well and allow to cool slightly.

  4. 4

    Prepare for Wedges

Once the mixture is cool, form it into wedge shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. 5

    Coat with Eggs and Breadcrumbs

Beat the eggs in a bowl. Dip each wedge into the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. Place back on the baking sheet.

  6. 6

    Fry the Wedges

Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the wedges until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
