Make the Biscuits
Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently. Pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle and cut out biscuits. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

Make the Sausage Gravy
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste.

Serve
Split the biscuits and pour the sausage gravy on top. Serve immediately with eggs and hash browns on the side.
