Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, season the ground chuck beef with salt and black pepper. Divide into two equal portions and form into patties.

Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for the bacon, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of your chosen cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt.

Assemble the Burgers
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place the cooked patties with melted cheese on top, followed by crispy bacon. Top with the other half of the bun.
