Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Make the Filling

In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Wrappers

Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of each wrapper.

  3. 3

    Form the Potstickers

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it in half to create a half-moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal. You can also pleat the edges for a decorative finish.

  4. 4

    Cook the Potstickers

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the potstickers in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.

  5. 5

    Steam the Potstickers

Carefully add about 1/2 cup of water to the skillet, cover immediately, and let steam for 5-6 minutes until the water has evaporated and the potstickers are cooked through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the cover and allow the potstickers to crisp up for another minute. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
