Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and salt. Mix until well blended and set aside.
- 2
Assemble the Rangoon
Take a wonton wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the crab filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal tightly. For a decorative touch, you can bring the two opposite corners together and pinch them to create a 'crown' shape.
- 3
Fry the Rangoon
Heat oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully drop the assembled wontons into the hot oil, a few at a time, and fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 4
Serve
Serve hot with sweet and sour sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
